大甲鎮瀾宮於清雍正十年（1732年）建廟至今，香火鼎盛，豐富的廟宇裝飾皆是國寶級匠師精湛的作品，表現對眾生的期望與祝福。古代有「以左為尊，右為卑」的原則，因此以神明的坐向來說，左青龍，右白虎，所以有著「龍門進，虎口出」的習慣，也寓意著出入平安、永保安康！
