高美濕地(Gaomei wetland)位於清水大甲溪出海口南側，擁有泥質及沙質的海灘，加上與河口沼澤地帶鑲嵌在一起，所以孕育了豐富又複雜的濕地生態。
因為濕地的地形多變，加上豐富的生態種類，在這裡可以同時觀賞特殊的動植物，例如招潮蟹、彈塗魚、水筆仔等在河海交界處才有的景色。
政府為了指引船隻進出，建設了燈塔，也為了發展綠能，建置了風力發電機。紅白相間的燈塔在陽光裡婆娑起舞，純白的大型風車在風中緩緩的轉動。
伴隨著不同季節、不同時間的陽光，映照在溼地上的景色也千變萬化。在這裡不僅可以親近大自然，更在大自然的擁抱中，盡情的療癒身心，徜徉在海邊「閒」「鹹」的滋味裡。
