在綠油油農田中矗立著像珍珠般潔白的建築物，那便是外埔區著名的新地標－臺中市立圖書館外埔分館。
這棟白色建築採用垂直分割錯落設計，呼應外埔區特有的自然田園印象，立面整排窗景，遠方的火炎山與鐵砧山映入眼簾，十分簡潔俐落，為其贏得「小白宮」美譽。它就像一本本擺放在架上的好書，等待民眾細細欣賞、翻閱。
館內借書採用RFID自動圖書系統，讀者可以使用自助借書機和中市圖APP，自助借閱圖書及視聽資料；另為融入在地特色，館內不定期舉辦當地農牧文創的展覽。

要怎麼操作呢？
First, scan your digital student ID or the barcode of your Taichung City Library card. Then, scan the barcodes on the
book covers one by one. Finally, check the information on the screen, and if it's correct, press 'Finish'.
首先，掃描你的數位學生證或臺中市立圖書館借書證條碼；接著一一掃描書籍封面的條碼；然後確認螢幕上的借閱資訊，無誤就可以按完成囉。
