神岡線是早期軍方的軍用鐵道，國軍代稱為「陽明鐵道」，這條鐵道線是很重要的，它連接到清泉岡基地，專為運送軍用油料及貨物而設置。和平場站則是神岡線的一座火車站，目前是潭雅神自行車道其中的一個休息站。
和平場站非常廣闊，漫遊其中，可以找到許多歷史遺跡。看！和平月臺保留了一段鐵道未拆除的軍用鐵道。想像過去的蒸氣火車，冒著煤煙、鳴氣笛，停靠在鐵道補水站的情景，而水塔、水鶴、加媒臺是不可或缺的基礎設施。
退役戰機(F-5E戰鬥機)雄糾糾的矗立於天際翱翔區，讓人忍不住多看它幾眼。在和平場站找尋軍事鐵道的遺跡，如果願意，你也可以和戰機拍照留念喔！
